Alastair Coote
Tel: (07763) 683636
Personal Profile:
I am a motivated, confident and sociable university graduate, seeking web/database development work in the Bath area. I have extensive experience of both creation and maintenance of web sites, as well as working with (and developing front-ends for) large-scale database systems.
Skills and Achievements:
Database Technologies:
Through my employment and spare time interests I have gained considerable experience of working with databases- from MySQL or Oracle databases used as back-ends for web sites, to considerably more complex SQL Server databases forming the centre of departmental workflow. This has given me a familiarity with SQL syntax, as well as database optimisation, such as indexing.
Web Design:
My experience in the world of web design has taught me to be proficient in various multi-media applications, such as Adobe Photoshop and many Macromedia products. I’ve also learnt a great deal of core technologies, such as raw PHP, CSS and (X)HTML coding. I’ve also spent a great deal of time developing JavaScript solutions to both minimise server load, and present “Web 2.0”-alike navigation systems.
Communication:
Throughout both my university degree programme and past employment I have learnt to function effectively as a member of a team, and to explain technical processes simply and quickly in (for example) presentations to other members of an organisation. In addition, my employment within a customer service position has allowed me to learn how to deal effectively with the public, face to face and via telephone.

Hello,
I am Alastair Coote.
I have absolutely no connection with this site- I have never posted my CV/resume to it, it has just randomly appeared after I assume being scraped from my personal web site. Aside from anything else, it's several years out of date!
I'd like it to be removed, but can't find any contact details on this site to request this...
