2. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE JOHANNESBURG (March 1995 - June 1995)
Declined position in Cape Town as Facility Manager at Soundtrack Digital Studios to persue a freelance career with the goal to open my own recording and mixing studio as soon as possible. Worked as freelance sound engineer at African Crowth Network, Shirley Richardson TV and Venus Productions.

3. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN LISBON, PORTUGAL (1 April 1994 - 29 February 1995)
Managing Director of Ceu Azul Estúdios de Gravação, recording studios in Lisbon Portugal.
Completed a one year contract to set up, purchase equipment and build and manage a voice recording and mixing studio. I gained valuable experience in communication, business skills, computer programming and multimedia production. Futher to that I met and got in contact with European and British equipment suppliers and studios.
On 2 November 1994 I was excepted as an Associate Member of THE ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL RECORDING SERVICES LTD.

5. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE JOHANNESBURG AND PRETORIA
5.1 August 1986 - December 1989 at Crescendo Audio in Johannesburg.
* Started off as junior recording engineer at this company which specialised in language dubbing for television programmes.
* Promoted to recording and mixing engineer in less than a year and after acquiring skills in film and video work. Most of the work was done for the SABC, and I was also responsible for foley recording and sound editing on 16 mm film.
* In November 1988 promoted to studio manager. During December 1988 the studios expanded and was moved to larger premises. Involved in designing, building and installing the new studios.
* Hired as a consultant to Mr. Ryno Hattingh in November 1989 as he was establishing an ADR and MIDI studio. Accompanied Mr. Hattingh to Europe and Hong Kong to buy equipment. Gained valuable experience in buying and importing equipment.
5.2 July 1986 - Employed by South African Broadcasting Corporation
Operation assistant in live commercial radio at Radio Jacaranda in Pretoria
5.3 June 1984 - June 1986 National Service
* Completed Junior Leaders course and was promoted to 2nd Lt in 1985
* In second year served as logistics officer at Army headquaters in Pretoria. Responsible for the purchase of video and educational aids for the Defence force.
